Chief Timothy Park sits on an island on the Snake River, known as the "Gateway to Hells Canyon Recreation Area." The campground has shade trees and lawn. There is a beautiful day use area as well as swimming beach, boat launch, and 5 docks for your boating use. Activities available include boating, hiking, swimming and exceptional fishing. All roads in the park are paved and all sites have picnic tables and fire pits. We feature 4 camping cabins, tent sites and full hook up pull thru sites for R.V's. There are 4 restroom buildings in the park, 3 with hot showers.
The cabins – which offer sleeping platforms, a porch, and air conditioning – were selected as on of the Top 25 most unique cabins in the United States in 2009. They are nestled into the hillside overlooking the beautiful Snake River. There is a lot to do in the area – including both boating and hiking as well as touring the historic area around Lewiston, Idaho, and its sister city of Clarkston, WA.
There is a small convenience store located within Chief Timothy Park – as well as boat launching facility and swimming beach. Showers are also available.
